YSE CHAMPIONS CUP

About YSE Champions Cup

wHO WE ARE

The YSE Champions Cup is one of the biggest, if not biggest youth football tournaments in the UK that sees local grassroots teams pit themselves against the biggest and most well-known academies from across Europe. The tournament takes place annually, every May, for age groups U9-U12 with additional age groups U8 and U13 playing in the UK (UK academy teams) only event. With over 190 teams participating and more than 5,000 spectators across the weekend, this is truly an event not to miss.

How We Started

The Beginning

The YSE Champions cup started in 2021, and due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, we had to make it a UK only tournament. This saw over 120 teams in attendance in what was a magical weekend. The 2022 edition saw the European teams attend for the first time and also saw the tournament expand to over 150 teams, making it one of the biggest youth events in the UK. In our last two tournaments, we have had grassroots teams from Hong Kong, Africa, and Australia and we continue to see the number of foreign grassroots teams increase year on year.

What We Do

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE YSE Champions Cup

We have over 16 pitches being used all at the same time, we have FA qualified referees for all matches and all match results are available on our live website which is the one stop shop for the weekend for all the information about the tournament.

Over the last few years we have had the pleasure of hosting some of the biggest and best academy clubs from across Europe such as:
Olympic Marseille, FC Barcelona, West Ham United, Atletico Madrid, FC Porto, Norwich City, QPR, Peterborough United, AZ Alkmaar, Benfica, AFC Wimbledon, Luton Town, Cambridge United, Birmingham City, Coventry City, Northampton Town, Southend United, Notts County, Leyton Orient and many more.

THE YSE EXPERIENCE

YSE Champions cup is more than just a football tournament, it is a family event, a place where parents, siblings, cousins, grandparents, etc all come to cheer on their loved ones in a fun, friendly environment. You will find food, drink, entertainment all in one place as well as music to keep everyone on their feet. Memories are what we want to make for everyone in attendance, whether you’re playing or just spectating, and the feedback we have had over the last few years says that is exactly what the tournament does. And we want to continue to build on this and make the YSE Champions cup a permanent st

The players involved in the YSE Champions cup will have the opportunity to participate in an event that will live with them forever and something they will tell their kids. The atmosphere, the friendly fun environment, the people, make this a magical time for all involved. There are many tournaments in the country, but there is only one YSE Champions cup!!
